The Crossroad Anger Management
Provides the opportunity for offenders to learn and practice effective emotional coping skills while encouraging them to control and overcome events in their lives.

Adult & Juvenile Cognitive Life Skills
Participants learn to take realistic view of their life and discover how attitude affects behavior and will focus on processes to change that negative behavior; make a personal commitment to be a law-abiding citizen.

The Crossroad Bad Check
Aim is to curb future bad check writing activity by emphasizing and teaching fiscal responsibility. The focus is on planning and goal setting which reduces the chances of budgeting mistakes and bad decisions.

Responsible Parenting Skills
Helps parents determine why the child is misbehaving with a focus on counteracting that negative behavior using methods that are non-threatening and effective. This method allows the child to build a sense of responsibility.

Theft Intervention
Each year, millions of dollars are lost because one person chooses to take another person's property. This program demonstrates how attitudes can override a person's sense of right and wrong and cause them to behave contrary to their basic values and beliefs.

The Nurturing Father's Program
The Nurturing Fathers program is a 13- week fathering training course designed to teach parenting and nurturing skills to men. Each 2 1/2 hour fathering class provides proven, effective skills for healhy family relationships and child development .


Truancy (Level 1, Level 2)
Level 1 helps youth understand the importance of school and prompts them to set concrete goals for graduation. They explore the effects today's choices have on their future. Also offered is an elementary curriculum for younger students that helps students identify what they enjoy about attending school while identifying the obstacles they face in attending school regularly.

Level 2 Truancy reviews basic concepts learned in Level 1. Reasons for failing to attend school are closely examined, with an emphasis on identifying solutions that encourage regular attendance. During the last 4 hours of the seminar, children work directly with their parents to develop a shared plan for achieving regular school attendance.

Gang Involvement
This is one of the most dangerous steps young people can take towards ruining their lives and their futures. The program helps gang members and at-risk youth examine their reasons for being in a gang or desiring to join. Alternative methods of achieving social and/or economic goals are explored, as are the consequences of gang membership.

 
GED Preparation
The GED preparation class is for clients either needing assistance with academic proficiency or who wish to prepare and pass the GED Tests. The two-Hour class will meet for 12 weeks on a weekly basis with homework assignment given at each class. Using the Sleek-Vaughn GED 2002 edition complete self-study guide for the GED test, The client will receive evaluation and instruction in each of the major subject areas which includes Mathematics, Writing, reading, science, and social studies.

Texas Alcohol Education Program for Minors
A. L. Turner Academics instructor is certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services to conduct this program. When finished, participants receive an official Texas Certificate of Completion to meet requirements of Municipal, Justice and other courts. This six-hour program is conducted in two, three-hour sessions over two days. This schedule presents a challenge to families, but all should know it is mandated by Texas law. A shorter, more convenient schedule from an uncertified program will not be accepted in court  I will forwards you the Registration form.

Youth Curriculum: 1 day Drug Awareness , Marijuana Intervention  program< theft Intervention 1 day or four weeks, anger Management 1 day or 6 weeks., truancy/curfew, and life skills:   Adults, Add Drug Offender Education Program.

Marijuana Intervention (MJI): MJI is a 10-12 hour course designed to assist clients in identifying their marijuana pattern of use, severity of abuse vs. dependency issues. Clients will gain insight to solutions and tools to implement into ones life to alleviate marijuana use. 

Offende Education Program (DOEP): DOEP is a state-certified 15-hour education program. The program consists of 3-hour class sessions that are completed in 5 consecutive days. (Monday-Friday) Clients are encouraged to register to ensure a place for them in the class. There are limitations on the amount of people that we can allow into each class.
